Coffee’s getting colder while I’m looking.
Suddenly the voice is asking, „Hey, what’s cooking?

I ask the breakfast table, I ask my half-eaten toast,
I ask the crumbs on my shirt, „Why am I feeling that lost?“
A jar filled with fruit jam cheekily raises his hand,
„I’ve got an idea. Why not call him again?“

„How do you do?“ entstand an der Gitarre, war inspiriert von K’s Choice und verschiedenen Auswirkungen wahrnehmungsverändernder Substanzen. Es war ständiger Begleiter auf unseren Playlists. Jahre später wurde es in verändertem Arrangement noch einmal aufgeführt, als meine Kollegys aus dem Fachseminar für Altenpflege in Sankt Augustin an einem Tag der offenen Tür den Song spielten: Gitarre, Klavier und – statt Gesang – eine Trompete. Endlich hatte mein MIDI-File von damals einen Zweck: So konnte ich die Partitur ausdrucken, die Lead-Stimme wurde vom Blatt gespielt. Cheers, Uwe!
